Mama & Me - Hand Painted Cards
A gentle way to say congratulations on the birth of a baby whilst offering encouragement and acknowledging the difficulties of their NICU journey ahead.
Inside wording:
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy! We look forward to the day we get to meet and welcome them to your family. I know their feet may be very small and your journey to get them may not have been what you expected at all. We may not always know just what to say or even understand your NICU journey in every way, but please know you don't walk this path alone. We send our courage and love so you and your warrior baby can fight, grow and be ready to come home.
It's ok to feel fragile. It's ok to grieve, the first hold, the first kiss, the "normality" you seek, but in the same breath please remember what you have already achieved. That precious baby you look at didn't grow from a seed. You gifted life and what a gift that is. Take time to celebrate all of their daily wins and be proud of what they accomplish in this whirlwind.
Look after yourselves, cry, hug, talk and laugh. May you find the strength to make precious memories until the day you can take them home, at last.

All illustrations are hand painted by Mama & Me, with watercolor paints and then printed within Christchurch. Cards are Indigo printed on 250gsm textured natural white stock. They are A6 size, 148mm x 210mm and come packaged in a clear cello bag with a Kraft envelope.
